On .911 it has been corrected to be as originally stated (~2.5 seconds max).<br \/><em>Mode 3<\/em>: Change in the feedback head delay time are now squishier. Modulation of vibrato heads softened to reduce some artifacts created by hard square wave vibrato. If you are familiar with the Mode 1 on any of the classic ct5 firmware, just imagine 2 ct5s but the feedback from the first is fed to the input of the second, and the second unit is fed back to the first. The outputs of both units are sent to a mixer to generate the final output.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->DIR 1 controls the direction\/speed of the first unit. DIR 2 controls the direction\/speed of the second unit. FBK controls the feedback level between the two units.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Tapping Q up or down applies quantization to both the DIR parameters. The E switch dictates which parameter the the expression pedal will control.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Holding Q up and turning DIR 1 will change the buffer length of the first unit. Turning DIR 2 will change the buffer length of the second unit. Turning FBK will change the cutoff of some low pass filters in the feedback paths.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Holding Q down and trurning the knobs has no effect in this patch.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Tapping the left footswitch works as it does in the original ct5 mode 1 patch, the buffer content is preserved and continuously cycles, until the button is tapped again. During this preservvation period the LED will turn green.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:heading {\"level\":3} --><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mode 2: Auto Stuttering<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/divi:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->There are (up to) 3 units which automatically record a preset length, then play it back a certain number of times, then repeat.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->The length of each units stutter can be adjusted with the DIR 1\/2\/3 knobs. By default each unit will stutter 4 times, then re-sample and stutter again 4 times on that new sample etc. While each unit is recording the LED will turn on. Unit 1 is represented by red, 2 by green and 3 by blue. This lets you know when new audio is being recorded into the stutter buffers.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Tapping the left footswitch will cancel the resampling process, and whatever is in the stutter buffers will be recycled until the left footswitch is tapped again. At which point the patch resumes normal function. In this tapped state the LED becomes white.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->The E switch controls how many units are audible. Up position 1 unit is audible, 2 in middle, and all 3 when E is down. The expression pedal always acts on the length of the first unit. This is similar in philosophy to how E switch\/expression pedal works on Mode 3 of the original firmware (.963k).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Tapping the Q switch currently has no effect since the playback speed of the units cannot be changed (there is no speed to quantize so to speak). However, there are additional parameters available by holding Q up or down and twisting DIR 1\/2\/3.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->With Q held in the up position you can set the number of repeats for each unit. This is done by holding Q up and twisting DIR 1\/2\/3 respectively. The available number of repeats is 2-16. 2 repeats is achieved by turning the knob fully CCW and 16 when fully CW.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->With Q held in the down position you can change the volume of each unit via DIR 1\/2\/3 respectively. By default the volume is maximum (same as fully CW setting).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:heading {\"level\":3} --><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mode 3: Multi head delay with vibrato<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/divi:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->A long delay with (up to) 3 playback heads. Two of the playback heads can have their speed modulated by a square wave, whose depth is quantizable. The third read head can be fedback to the write head.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->DIR 1 controls the depth of modulation on the first vibrato head. CCW is minumum modulation (actually none). Turning the know CW will increase the pitch deviation caused by the vibrato.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->DIR 2 controls the rate of the LFO. CCW is slower, and CW is faster. The LED will flash red according to this rate. If the depth is minimum, then the LED will not flash regardless of the LFO rate.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->DIR 3 controls the delay time of the first vibrato head. The minumum time of about .5 seconds is set when tke knob is fully CCW. As you turn the knob CW the delay time will extend to approximately 7 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->With the Q switch held up, the controls for the second vibrato head can be accessed. They are the same as those for the first vibrato head but the LED flashes green instead of red.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->With the Q switch held down, the controls for the feedback head can be accessed. DIR 1 currently has no effect. DIR 2 will control the amount of feedback, fully CCW being no feedback and fully CW providing almost infinite repeats. Note that there is no feedback from the vibrato heads. DIR 3 will adjust the delay time of the feedback head. The minimum time is about .5 seconds at full CW and around 7 seconds at fully CCW.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Tapping the Q switch up or down changes the possible quantizations of the LFO depth. Both LFOs have the same quantization mode. At the moment the led does not blink white when changing Q modes as in some other patches.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->The E switch controls how many heads are audible. In the up position only the first vibrato head is audible. In the mid position both vibrato heads are audible, and in the down position all three heads are audible.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Tapping the soft footswitch will set the feedback of the feedback head to units and cut the instrument input to the write head. During this time the LED will be on solid white. Tapping again returns the patch to normal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:heading --><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Media<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/divi:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->Here are some clips that have popped up so far. This is similar in philosophy to how E switch\/expression pedal works on Mode 3 of the original firmware (.963k).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Tapping the Q switch currently has no effect since the playback speed of the units cannot be changed (there is no speed to quantize so to speak). However, there are additional parameters available by holding Q up or down and twisting DIR 1\/2\/3.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>With Q held in the up position you can set the number of repeats for each unit. This is done by holding Q up and twisting DIR 1\/2\/3 respectively. The available number of repeats is 2-16. 2 repeats is achieved by turning the knob fully CCW and 16 when fully CW.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>With Q held in the down position you can change the volume of each unit via DIR 1\/2\/3 respectively. By default the volume is maximum (same as fully CW setting).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3><strong>Mode 3: Multi head delay with vibrato<\/strong><\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>A long delay with (up to) 3 playback heads. Two of the playback heads can have their speed modulated by a square wave, whose depth is quantizable. The third read head can be fedback to the write head.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>DIR 1 controls the depth of modulation on the first vibrato head. CCW is minumum modulation (actually none). Turning the know CW will increase the pitch deviation caused by the vibrato.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>DIR 2 controls the rate of the LFO. CCW is slower, and CW is faster. The LED will flash red according to this rate. If the depth is minimum, then the LED will not flash regardless of the LFO rate.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>DIR 3 controls the delay time of the first vibrato head. The minumum time of about .5 seconds is set when tke knob is fully CCW. As you turn the knob CW the delay time will extend to approximately 7 seconds.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>With the Q switch held up, the controls for the second vibrato head can be accessed. They are the same as those for the first vibrato head but the LED flashes green instead of red.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>With the Q switch held down, the controls for the feedback head can be accessed. DIR 1 currently has no effect. DIR 2 will control the amount of feedback, fully CCW being no feedback and fully CW providing almost infinite repeats. Note that there is no feedback from the vibrato heads. DIR 3 will adjust the delay time of the feedback head. The minimum time is about .5 seconds at full CW and around 7 seconds at fully CCW.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Tapping the Q switch up or down changes the possible quantizations of the LFO depth. Both LFOs have the same quantization mode. At the moment the led does not blink white when changing Q modes as in some other patches.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The E switch controls how many heads are audible. In the up position only the first vibrato head is audible. In the mid position both vibrato heads are audible, and in the down position all three heads are audible.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Tapping the soft footswitch will set the feedback of the feedback head to units and cut the instrument input to the write head. During this time the LED will be on solid white.
